I like to call myself Eagle Eyes Ramsay – I take stupid amounts of joy in spotting typos on anything I read – whether I can fix it or not – I have been told that this is an annoying trait but I wondered if proofing was perhaps my true calling…

I got interested in graphic design in my skateboarding days, surrounded by a strong visual aesthetic and graphics on the tees, boards and books -  I wanted to create some. I worked for few skateboard labels, read dozens of obscure and expensive magazines and started forming a distinctive style.

With my early working days spent in pre-production and then screen printing I developed a specialist knowledge in tricky colour separations and print processes. Understanding the materials and medium is key to getting the results along with some beautifully proofed, well crafted document.

I’m told I’m fast (I also like to call myself speedy Ramzales). I am happy to take instruction (as long as you are older and better dressed than me) happy to show a bit of my own art direction (if you’re too busy on the big jobs) and can manage workflow, deadlines and egos with easy reluctance.

While working in the textile screen printing industry for many years I got to know a few people that owned clothing companies and was lucky enough to design and create the finished art and colour separations for these companies. One of my accomplishments is I worked with and designed a few graphics for Traffick Clothing Co. and designed the NZ Traffick logo one of their top selling t shirts of all time.

2degrees Mobile Brochures

I have worked on 2degrees mobile for a while now. Since working on this client I have created anything from brochures, press adverts, in store posters, POS, billboards, packaging TV screens for in store use, website graphics and anything else they throw our way. All of these different projects have involved taking art direction and keeping within the brand guidelines, also on some projects I have used my own art direction and design skills to complete the project.

As I have worked as a Mac Operator for the past 10 years I have worked on a wide variety of projects and clients. From Wine Companies to telecommunications, insurance and finance and much more. I have created everything from Calendars, POS, retail mailers, catalogues, billboards etc… From all my years of working as a Mac Op I have gained a good working knowledge of print processes and pre press skills.
