CONSULTANT / CD . Art director, Designer, Digital

Pitman (Part man/part armpit), shower hotties gone wild, carnivorous cheerleaders, giant weta's, everyday people turned into sex machines - just a typical day at the office.

I spent 4 years in Tokyo designing and illustrating for the likes of Hysteric Glamour and Tokyo Journal before moving to NYC in 1994 where I lived and worked until 2005. Over the years in NY I worked as a designer, Illustrator, comic artist and animation director - basically bumming around the visual arts having a great time. But in 1999 with kids on the way I got my act together and joined BBH NYC as Design and Digital Director.

My diverse background enabled me to effectively navigate the gap between traditional and new media communications and I was soon leading the charge online as Interactive CD. Over the six years I spent at BBH I learnt to delegate, manage teams and resources, count to ten before replying to any requests and to resist drinking the free coke all day (very fattening). Key work from this period includes Axe (Product launch in the US), Johnnie Walker, Levis and ING Bank.

Now based mostly in New Zealand, I continue to work across a variety of mediums as I've always done. I'm still illustrating - Hysteric Mini, Designing - Hyundai.co.nz, Creative Directing - Barclays Barx and producer / directing - Underworld.

From concept to execution I am an experienced “ideas first” creative who can lead a project team from brief through to production. But I'm happy to take on a project at any stage - whether it's just throwing some ideas out there or taking an existing idea and making it twist + shout.
