MIDWEIGHT . Copywriter
Even though I started out in Account Service, I always wanted to get into the creative side. It just took me a while to figure out that suits who try and write their own ads tend to land themselves in a spot of bother.
Since graduating from Adschool and officially becoming a creative, I’ve worked full time at Y&R, DDB Milan and Ogilvy. I’ve worked on brand, retail DM and interactive projects. Big budgets, small budgets, no budget, you name it. As a freelancer, I love going from agency to agency, meeting new people and working on a vast array of accounts.
I think the word ‘variety’ pretty much sums me up. I’ve gone to school in Bluff, been on photo shoots in Milan, milked cows in the Naki and served up pies in a bakery. I’ll jump on a surf board in Raglan, get completely lost in Tokyo, camp in the Coromandel, drink Cristal, work on a building site, and always find time for a facial. And why am I telling you all this? Because as a creative, I believe variety is vital. It’s imperative to get out there and experience whatever you can no matter how odd or insignificant it may first appear.
So if you think you’ve got the brief for me, which let’s face it – could pretty much be anything, let’s talk.
