SENIOR . 2D / 3D Animator

When I was young my mum spent hours trying to show me tricks to math equations. Despite her best efforts, instead of the required answers I drew an elaborate fruit tree on my math assessment. The tree looked great, however unimpressed my teacher was. There wasn’t anything I could say to defend my actions… other than the truth. I really like drawing!

I come from a very classical animation background. I started out young, and by 19 had finished studying and was working full time in the industry. I now have 12 years experience. My talents have given me some amazing opportunities, from becoming the President of Women in Animation New Zealand, to animating on an episode of Peanuts, as well as skateboarding videos and TV Commercials.  I recently returned from a summit in LA where I met with and pitched to networks such as Disney, Cartoon Network and The Jim Henson Company.

I’m always finding new styles to be inspired by.  I believe in strong drafting abilities and good drawing skills; so this is usually the underlying factor in artwork that I like.  I’m very fond of sixties stylised art, especially the work of companies like UPA or United Productions of America.

I’m currently freelancing working on projects for print, television and film.
