Lead the marketing offering for this leading NZ luxury designer brand.

On behalf of Nodi Handmade Rugs and Carpet, The Pond Recruitment is looking for a proven senior marketer to join our clients' growing and ambitious business, designers and producers of naturally sourced, handcrafted rugs and carpets. This is a leadership role working directly with Oliva Moon, a talented founder and leader who has built a rocketship brand and company with big growth plans in the next 5 years. You’ll play a critical part in growing this brand in new markets, always delivering on Nodi’s promise to enrich and elevate people's lives by creating a natural place of connection between people and their everyday living and working environments. 

With customers searching for design-led and naturally sourced interior products for their fashionable homes, retail spaces, hotels, or restaurants, this role will suit someone with a strong commercial or personal connection to the world of interiors, fashion, retail, or even architecture. Your passion for this space must be underpinned by a highly disciplined and results-driven marketing career. You’ll be able to confidentially speak to examples of your marketing efforts directly contributing to increased revenue and business growth against a predefined strategy.

This exciting and rare opportunity will suit someone senior who is proven in their career, and looking to take their experience and knowledge in brand and marketing to a new level. We’re looking for someone to take full ownership of the development and implementation of the key products, new ranges, and customer engagement strategy for this designer and producer of beautifully handcrafted products.

As the Head of Marketing, you will drive brand consideration and create the best brand and partnership experience. With an equally strong focus on trade customers in the Architecture and Design sector, the ever-important end consumer, and bringing the two together cohesively. You must believe in the power of a customer-first mindset and put them at the heart of everything you deliver. It’ll be a fast-paced role encompassing brand, products, content, and digital communications for customers and nationwide residential homeowner and commercial audiences.

You will develop and implement new go-to-market strategies, drive the release and sale of new product ranges, and overall brand awareness for an established brand with an offering of high-end luxury products. You will also create a new digital and social media marketing plan, partnership trade programs, sales team enablement tools, and market events to promote and align the brand at the highest level with the top end of the design, interiors, and architectural industries.

The breakdown

We are looking for a Marketing expert with: 

  • Minimum 6 years total commercial marketing experience
  • Experience marketing to B2B and B2C audiences

Primary focus of the role: 

  1. Strategic direction & planning
  2. Product & brand management expertise
  3. Trade, B2B and Direct-to-Consumer marketing delivery

Some key responsibilities are:

  • Develop and implement a robust marketing strategy focused on expanding the brands' presence in the NZ market and beyond
  • Lead, develop, and execute beautifully curated campaigns across a modern marketing mix - digital marketing, social media, email marketing, print, and events
  • Identify trends and develop new insights to refine and improve customer experience, marketing performance, and customer education and engagement
  • Product Marketing for hero brands and product ranges
  • Develop tactical sales enablement tools to support an established sales team of 4
  • Manage marketing budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve maximum ROI
  • Oversee the creation of digital and print marketing materials, including brochures, product catalogues, and presentations, all tailored for decerning and intelligent audiences
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry and agency partners, influencers, and key stakeholders within the wider market
  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed to meet business goals
  • Ability to communicate and present with style, grace, and finesse
