Award winning writer and journalist joins The Pond
Well-known Wellington journalist Keri Welham has joined The Pond as a senior specialist writer with extensive experience in business, science and research, health, education, ethnic affairs and sport.
Keri has won numerous national journalism awards to date, including New Zealand Feature Writer of the Year. She recently picked up her latest award; the 2009 Qantas media award for human relations feature in newspapers.
“Keri is one of the best in her field at making information interesting…in an age where ‘selling’ is out and informative, relevant content is in,” says Clinton Ulyatt, of The Pond, which recently launched a new specialist writing service.
Keri says the ability to work swiftly and accurately is her most valuable skill. “Clients like the fact that I can research a topic, make sense of information, interview key staff to ensure a document echoes their voice and vision, and translate complex ideas and concepts.”
And she does it with accuracy, flair, a screaming deadline on her heels, and sense of humour intact and operational.
