When you're looking for creatives, it's important to get the right level of experience for the job.
Consultants generally have at least 15 years experience. These are the experts with the opinions to be influential. Creatively and strategically astute, they possess the leadership skills to manage projects and people.
By comparison, senior contract creatives are craftsmen who have been in the game for more than 10 years and know how to get the job done.
While intermediate contract creatives are business-minded up-and-comers with a fresh, youthful approach (minimum five years experience).
If you're not sure which level of experience you need, get in touch and we’ll be happy to help you find the right person. That's our job.
Specialist talent can be the key to giving you competitive advantage. By using The Pond, you can tap into a unique pool of creative specialists from storyboarders and retouchers to packaging designers and scriptwriters, to make sure you have the best skill-set for the job. With our depth of resource, we’re sure to recommend someone who knows your industry or medium inside and out.
What are the rates?
Our rates depend on two factors:
- The duration of the booking – generally speaking, the longer the booking, the lower the rate.
- The experience and skills of the creative professional you have in mind.
In any case, we have creatives at three distinct levels (Consultant/Senior/Intermediate), and rates across three different structures (hourly, daily and weekly) to suit all budgets.
Can I contact and book creatives directly?
All initial bookings, repeat bookings and general enquiries related to a Pond creative need to come through The Pond's centralised booking system since our creatives are often too busy working to take calls.
Do I need to go through The Pond every time?
Yes. You'll thank us in the long run as we check availability, set budgets, track jobs, and take care of the billing to make sure jobs run smoothly. We also find replacements if creatives get sick or have an emergency.
What if I want to offer the creative a permanent position?
Firstly, call us about your interest in the creative and we will talk to them. This is where most clients go wrong and fail to get their (wo)man. We often place creatives in roles for up to a year, but in the event that a Pond creative does go full-time, there is a placement fee.
